(d/b/a Entrepreneur Legal®) (Entrepreneur Legal® US, we, us or our) collects, uses, stores, shares and protects personal data when you access or use the StartWise platform, website, dashboard, document workflows, drafting tools, document workspace, account features, payment flows, review requests, consultation booking tools and related services for US business profiles, US document workflows and US services (together, StartWise or the Platform).
StartWise is the platform brand. For US business profiles, US document workflows and services provided through the US website or otherwise by the US Entrepreneur Legal business, StartWise is provided by Entrepreneur Legal® US. For UK business profiles, UK document workflows and services provided through the UK Entrepreneur Legal business, StartWise may be provided by a separate UK entity under separate UK privacy terms.
This Privacy Policy applies where we process personal data in connection with:

3.1 StartWise US services
This Privacy Policy applies to personal data processed in connection with US StartWise services, including Platform access, US document workflows, US drafting credits, US membership, US Document Review / Attorney Review, US Legal Consultations and US bespoke service requests.
3.2 UK services
Where you use a UK business profile, UK document workflow or UK service, a separate UK privacy policy may apply. The privacy policy that applies may depend on the business profile, document jurisdiction and service provider selected in the Platform.
3.3 Legal services and platform services
StartWise Drafting is a self-serve guided drafting workflow. Document Review / Attorney Review, Legal Consultation and bespoke legal services are separate services. Personal data may be processed differently depending on whether you are using a self-serve Platform workflow or purchasing legal services.

StartWise may use AI-assisted features to generate, classify, summarise, analyse or transform content. These features may process your workflow answers, Business Profile information, uploaded materials, prompts, generated content and related data.
8.2 Purpose of AI-assisted processing
AI-assisted processing may be used to:
generate draft documents;
assist with workflow routing;
identify missing information;
summarise uploaded materials;
extract relevant details from files;
draft clauses or sections;
detect inconsistencies;
support document editing; and
provide other Platform functionality.
8.3 Human review
StartWise Drafting does not include attorney review unless separately purchased. AI-assisted processing is not a substitute for legal advice, attorney review, legal approval or legal sign-off.
8.4 AI service providers
We may use third-party AI service providers or infrastructure providers to deliver AI-assisted features. Where we use service providers, we require them to process data only for specified purposes and to protect personal data in accordance with applicable requirements.
8.5 Your responsibilities
You should not include unnecessary sensitive personal data in prompts, workflow answers or uploaded materials. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to provide any personal data processed through AI-assisted features.

Data relating to Document Review / Attorney Review, Legal Consultation or bespoke legal services may be retained for longer periods where necessary for professional, legal, regulatory, insurance, conflict-checking, risk-management or recordkeeping purposes.

When you use our services, legal documents you provide and communications you send to us will be treated as confidential and used to provide the requested service, subject to this Privacy Policy, our terms, professional obligations and applicable law.
19.2 Platform limits
The Platform is an online service and may rely on third-party providers to host, process, store, transmit, analyse or secure data. Confidentiality is subject to the operational and technical requirements of providing the Platform.

Using StartWise Drafting alone does not necessarily create an attorney-client relationship or attorney-client privilege. Where Legal Services are separately provided, privilege and confidentiality may be considered in the context of that legal services relationship and applicable law.
